| Description: | Walkers needed for Skye and Cuillins Mountain Challenge. Marie Curie Cancer Care (Highland) is urging avid walkers to take part in the Skye and Cuillins Mountain Challenge on 3rd July 2010. The 10 mile trek will take walkers over remote rugged footpaths through the heart of the Island, with stunning seascapes and the unrivalled grandeur of the Cuillins all around. The Challenge aims to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care to help Nurses care for terminally ill people in their own homes. Marie Curie’s fundraising team is aiming to attract around 50 participants for the trek. This low level hill walk from Kirkibost to Sligachan, via Camasunary presents a perfect opportunity to admire the breathtaking scenery of the Scottish Highlands and marvel at the wonders hidden within Skye. Registration costs just £10 and participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship. Walkers can either register individually or come along with friends and family as part of a group. There’s still time to sign up for this challenge of a lifetime and raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
